Monthly Favourites

December Favourites

I wanted to try something that I have seen on YouTube all the time and that is  monthly favouties. So let’s just get right into it!

Hot Apple Cider

Omg, I always forget about this drink, until it is handed to me. A warm, sweet , spiced drink is perfect for the holidays. I love it so much. A recipe if you would like to try it: Here

The Hamilton Mixtape

I have never seen The Hamilton Musical, or even listened to the Original Soundtrack. But I was scrolling on Tumblr and found Congratulations performed by Dessa. I fell in love with it so I looked up more of the music and bought the album right away.

Moana Soundtrack

Where I live, the theatre is really crappy. Like – really crappy. To go see a movie takes a lot. However, to go see it twice, it has to blow my mind. I loved Moana, and the soundtrack has been playing in my house all month long.

Santa’s Secret Tea

This Tea by David’s Tea is delicious. It is a black tea with pieces of candy cane and sprinkles, the smell is to die for. My sister got me a whole tin for Christmas and I am so happy I can enjoy it all year long.

Tokyo Godfathers

This Anime movie was amazing! The characters were great, the story was great, and the emotions it pulled out of me was great. I could literally hear Donald next to me gasping and exhaling during the ending. It also shines a light on a community you don’t necessarily think of when you think of Japan. The Homeless. Also has some LGBT+ issues, and over all just an amazing story that will be a new Christmas Classic in my household.

My True Love Gave to Me: 12 Holiday Stories

This book helped me feel the Christmas Spirit, with authors I already knew I loved, plus authors I have just fell in love with. These stories are all well-written and also have diverse topics so I didn’t get bored with any of them.

Jane the Virgin

So I have a love hate relationship with this show. I love the drama, and the over the top issues. I also hate that they always arc over multiple episodes. I love the relatable drama and the influence of Spanish. I started watching this over the summer but didn’t get really into it till this month. And I hate catching up to shows, which means I have to wait till January for new episodes.

Here is my list of December favorites. How was your christmas?
